Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking a Junior Data Manager for a remote role with one day per week in Reading. The role focuses on data management, governance and reporting using Power BI within a Defence context. Active SC Clearance is required.

You will create dashboards, manage data repositories, and support governance cycles for critical programmes, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and insight-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience in data management and governance within regulated environments.
• Strong data analysis and information management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft 365 tools for reporting and governance.
• Experience maintaining data repositories, trackers, or MI systems.
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer programme and business data repositories, registers and tracking tools.
• Ensure data is accurate and managed in line with governance and security requirements.
• Monitor data quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support management of risks, actions, issues and dependencies through tracking processes.
• Maintain document libraries and ensure information is stored and managed correctly.
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and MI reports for stakeholders.
