Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Lead Data Analyst to own day-to-day analytics and reporting in a data-driven environment. This hands-on leadership role will manage a team of analysts, ensuring reliable data, insightful reporting and alignment with business priorities.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate requirements into clear KPIs, dashboards and performance measures, driving continuous improvement in reporting processes and data governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Data Analytics/BI.
• Proven track record leading a team of analysts.
• Experience delivering enterprise-level reporting and dashboards.
• Experience defining KPIs and performance measures.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leadership.
• Ability translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Knowledge of data quality and governance.
• Experience with BI and data visualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of Data Analysts.
• Own delivery and improvement of reporting and analytics capability.
• Oversee dashboards, MIS and reporting solutions.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, SLAs and data quality.
• Translate requirements into KPIs and actionable insights.
• Prioritise workload against objectives.
• Drive improvements in automation, scalability and efficiency.
• Act as key contact for analytics and reporting.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and leadership.
• Present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Champion data governance and consistency.
• Identify data integrity issues and coordinate with engineering.
• Contribute to data strategy and analytic capability.
