Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD seeks a Junior Custom & Defender Builder or Trainee Specialist to escape routine dealership servicing and master bespoke fabrication, chassis assembly, tuning and classic Land Rover restorations in our Crowborough-area workshop.

We require at least 6 months of mechanical or garage experience, a genuine passion for classic 4x4s and hands-on skills with basic tools. A full UK driving licence is essential and immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ months of professional garage, agricultural engineering, or mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and a genuine passion for classic 4x4s, tuning, and Land Rovers.
• Full UK driving licence & basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Basic Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 basic per annum (Tailored scale aligned to your current hands-on experience) + annual performance bonus

Role Overview

Seeking a Junior Custom & Defender Builder or Trainee Specialist with at least 6 months of mechanical or garage experience who wants to escape routine dealership servicing and master custom fabrication, chassis assembly, tuning, and classic 4x4 restoration.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 6+ months of professional garage, agricultural engineering, or mechanical experience.
• Mindset: Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and a genuine passion for classic 4x4s, tuning, and Land Rovers.
• Practical Skills: Hands-on experience with basic mechanical tools, fabrication, or vehicle stripping/rebuilding.
• Essentials: Full UK driving licence & basic hand tools.
