Job summary

Village Hotels in Swindon is seeking a Commis Chef to learn, prep, and support the Head Chef and Sous Chef during service in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, building a real culinary career.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is great, but your attitude and energy matter more.
• If you are friendly, positive, love working with people, and enjoy a busy brigade, we will support you with training and opportunities.
• You will learn, prep, and support the Head Chef during service.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs on your section, controlling portion sizes and ensuring plates meet spec.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food hygiene regulations in line with HACCP.
• Know the menu and be able to explain dishes to teammates during service.
• Communicate clearly with restaurant and banqueting teams to keep service moving.
