Village Hotels is seeking a Commis Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen. Learn, prep, and grow your culinary career while handling a steady flow of dishes to specification.

You will focus on fundamentals, hygiene, menu knowledge, and clear communication within a busy brigade. If you bring energy and a readiness to learn, we will train and support your progression up to Chef de Partie and beyond.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a brigade and take direction.

Responsibilities

• The Prep & The Line: assisting chefs on your section, controlling portions and temperatures.
• The Standards: maintaining cleanliness and following food hygiene rules.
• The Product: tasting and understanding every dish on the menu.
• The Teamwork: reporting faults, minimizing waste, communicating with teams.
