A well-established manufacturing & engineering firm in Sheffield is seeking a Junior Buyer. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with procurement experience to develop within a supportive team. Responsibilities include assisting in purchasing, building supplier relationships, and maintaining procurement records. Ideal candidates will have strong organization and communication skills, with experience in manufacturing being advantageous. Pratap Partnership is seeking a Junior Buyer on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing & engineeringcompany located in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with someprocurement experience to develop their career within a growing organisation.

Working closely with the Senior Buyer and other stakeholders within the business, theKey responsibilities are:

  • Assisting in purchasing key services and products for the business
  • Building strong supplier relationships
  • Evaluating supplier performance
  • Researching new suppliers and identifying cost savings
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure the right goods and services are purchased
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, using the ERP system
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in procurement orpurchasing is essential although there is room to grow in the role.
  • Strong organisationand communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Experience inmanufacturing, engineering or similar sector would be advantageous but not essential
