Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a BIM Technician to work within a design and build team to deliver BIM outputs across multiple projects.

You will develop CAD/BIM standards, use 3D modelling for collaboration, support BIM360 lifecycle, build a standard BIM element library, and ensure cyber security of BIM data. The role includes early careers development and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Computer Science with CAD/BIM or related field.
• Knowledge of CAD & Modelling software and management tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Civils 3D, Plant 3D, ACC, BIM360).
• Understanding ISO 19650 and information management principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM design data and undertake quality control processes; contribute to CAD/BIM standards development.
• Use 3D modelling to support design collaboration, clash resolution, asset data capture, and cost capture.
• Support the development of the common data environment (Autodesk BIM 360) and manage BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and develop a standardised BIM element library to support model reuse and low-carbon solutions.
• Ensure cyber security aspects of CAD/BIM data and access are managed.
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into our models.
• Collaborate with designers to balance time, cost and quality; enable use of Mott MacDonald’s global design services.
• Manage safety, wellbeing, environmental and sustainability aspects within BIM/CAD outputs.
• Mentor/guide less experienced BIM technicians where appropriate.
