Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a BIM Technician in London to deliver CAD/BIM outputs and ensure quality across multiple projects. You will join a design and build team, enhance your technical and management skills, and contribute to a robust project lifecycle.

You will work with AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D, support BIM360 platforms, and help develop standards while prioritising security and data integrity. This role offers long-term career progression within a joint venture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with CAD/BIM exposure.
• Experience with CAD/BIM software and project data management tools.
• Understanding of information management as per ISO 19650.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM design data and perform quality checks.
• Use 3D modelling to support design collaboration and clash resolution.
• Support development of BIM data environments (Autodesk BIM 360).
• Create standardised BIM element libraries for model reuse.
• Ensure cyber security for CAD/BIM data and access.
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into models.
• Work with designers to balance time, cost and quality.
• Mentor less experienced BIM technicians when needed.
