Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a BIM Technician to collaborate within a design-and-build team, delivering CAD/BIM outputs and QC processes for multiple projects. You’ll contribute to BIM standards, support data environments, and drive model reuse across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related field with CAD/BIM exposure.
• Knowledge of CAD & modelling software and management tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civils 3D, Plant 3D, BIM360.
• Understanding of ISO 19650 information management principles.
• Collaborative work within multidiscipline teams and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM design data and perform QC processes, contributing to standard development.
• Use 3D modelling to support design collaboration, clash resolution, asset data capture, and cost tracking.
• Support development and management of the common data environment (Autodesk BIM 360) and BIM data through project lifecycle.
• Create a standardised BIM element library to support reuse and low carbon solutions.
• Address cyber security aspects of CAD/BIM data and access."
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into models.
• Work with designers to balance time, cost, and quality constraints.
• Enable use of Mott MacDonald’s global design services.
• Manage safety, wellbeing, environment and sustainability within BIM/CAD outputs.
• Mentor less experienced BIM technicians with technical guidance.
