Job summary

Penfold Savings Limited in London seeks a junior engineer to begin their career, splitting time 50% in first-line support and 50% on build work. You will resolve customer issues, automate processes to cut support volume, and have the opportunity to move into a Product Engineer role within a scaling function that builds internal tools.

Qualifications

• No prior work experience required; baseline software development knowledge needed.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL databases.
• Able to interrogate metrics to inform decisions and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Support Customer Support, Operations and Growth teams to meet SLAs.
• Review and improve production support processes.
• Automate BAU tasks to reduce support volume.
• Use monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance issues with Platform Engineer.
• Collaborate with product team to feedback on user experience and improvements.
• Provide training and support to wider team on technical issues.
• Create technical documentation for internal knowledge base.
