GENERAL SUMMARY

As an Analytics Engineer, you will design and develop data pipelines, ensure data integrity, and enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and analytics, with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This role involves technical proficiency, analytical thinking, project & time management, and communication skills. You will work on diverse, innovative projects across multiple platforms, including real-time data processing and emerging AI technologies, using cutting-edge tools and methodologies in data analytics.

Proficiency in sentiment and social analysis via social listening tools like Brandwatch/Talkwater, working knowledge of third-party tools such as Sprinklr, Sprout Social, and GWI, and experience with platform scraping tools like Fivetran, Adverity, and Apify (including JSON files and API calls) are required.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Design and implement scalable data models for our data warehouse using scheduling tools and GCP/BigQuery.
• Create visualization tools (explores, views) enabling self-service analytics across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and prepare data for analysis and reporting.
• Integrate data from owned, earned, paid sources, social listening, and third-party data sources.
• Discover, transform, test, deploy, and document data sources and models.
• Champion data warehouse governance: data quality, testing, documentation, best practices.
• Optimize analytics workflows and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP (or other cloud platforms like Snowflake) using BigQuery and Cloud Functions.
• Build data models for analytics, reporting, and data science in tools like Looker and Metabase.
• Utilize Python (Pandas, SQLAlchemy) and SQL (BigQuery, Snowflake) for ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Create tools and processes to ensure data quality and observability.
• Monitor and improve data stack performance and efficiency.
• Produce comprehensive documentation.
• Work in an agile team to develop data products.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, understand their needs, and address data challenges.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a data, BI, or analytics engineer.
• Hands-on data modeling and warehousing skills.
• Excellent Python & SQL skills, with experience in data transformation tools like dbt.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Attention to data quality issues.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
