Job summary

City Football Group in Manchester is seeking a part-time Junior Academy talent scout to help identify high-potential players across Cheshire. You will coordinate a team of scouts, plan coverage, and ensure recruitment philosophy alignment.

The role requires weekend availability, experience with young players, strong communication, safeguarding, and the ability to manage schedules while building relationships with clubs and coaches.

Qualifications

• Weekend scouting availability within designated region.
• Experience working with young players, parents and football stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate a team, schedules and multiple priorities.
• Clear and effective communication with feedback to colleagues.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clubs, coaches and families.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scouting activity across the defined geographical area.
• Support coverage planning and ensure area operations run smoothly with clear scheduling and compliance.
• Attend matches and events regularly, maintaining safeguarding and accurate records.
• Build trusted relationships with local clubs, coaches, parents and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Senior Local Recruitment Manager to strengthen the area network.
