About the Role:

The Junior AC Engineer will play a vital role in supporting our experienced engineering team in the delivery of a wide range of air conditioning projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for mechanical systems and a desire to develop their career within the building services sector. You will gain hands‑on experience, learn from industry experts, and contribute to projects that impact building performance and occupant well‑being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hands‑on assistance during the installation of AC systems, including refrigerant pipework, ductwork, and electrical connections, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

Participate in the commissioning of AC systems, assisting with functional testing, performance verification, and system balancing under the guidance of senior engineers.

Undertake routine maintenance tasks on existing AC systems, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and basic system checks. Assist in diagnosing and rectifying faults and breakdowns.

Adhere strictly to all company health and safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Actively seek opportunities for professional development, staying up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and relevant regulations.

Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, site personnel, and clients to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Skills:

A strong understanding of fundamental mechanical principles and an interest in HVAC systems.

NVQ Level 2 or F-Gas Cat 1

Ability to identify issues, think logically, and contribute to finding effective solutions.

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment and contribute positively.

A proactive attitude and a strong desire to acquire new skills and knowledge.

Familiarity with AC components and principles (e.g., refrigeration cycle, heat transfer) is a strong advantage.
