Job summary

Artic Building Services is recruiting an AC Engineer to work across Kings College London campuses. The role involves maintenance and reactive tasks on client sites, with responsibilities including PDA tasks, risk assessments, and reporting on additional works as required.

The ideal candidate has completed an apprenticeship with AC and Refrigeration qualifications, extensive HVAC/building services experience, and the ability to manage time and paperwork while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• AC and Refrigeration qualifications up to date (Safe Handling 2079).
• Experience in HVAC and Building Services environments.
• Stable employment history in HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of VRF, VRVS, AHUs, Cold Rooms and related systems.
• Able to develop and work within a team, manage time and paperwork.
• Capable of building long-term client relationships; proactive in generating additional works.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and reactive tasks on client sites.
• Complete PDA tasks including Risk Assessments.
• Provide reports for further works when required.
• Liaise with the client regarding work completed and future needs.
• Inform contract managers of site or plant changes and asset management.
• Collect parts from supplier or head office as applicable.
• Provide weekly timesheet to office on Monday.

Job Description

Job Role: AC Engineer

Location: Kings College London – working across x3 campuses

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Start Date: Immediately

Duration: Permanent

Reporting Too: Engineering Manager

Skills Required

• Completed applicable apprenticeship and possess relevant AC and Refrigeration industry qualifications. Including up to date Safe Handling (2079)
• Comprehensive working experience from an HVAC and Building Services environment
• A continuous history of employment within the HVAC and Building Services industry
• Proven technical knowledge of a wide spectrum of Air Conditioning systems and plant including that of: VRF, VRVS, AHU's, Coldroom's and Specialist Refrigeration
• Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage their own time, works and paperwork
• Capable of building long term relationships with clients both of existing and prospective
• Positive attitude "can do will do".
• Flexible in approach to hours and solving problems on site
• Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works / sales
• Provide technical support to administration staff as required.

Job Duties

• Carry out maintenance and reactive tasks to plant on client site
• Complete all relevant job tasks on PDA including Risk Assessments
• Provide Further works reports where required
• Liaise with the client concerning work completed and any further works required
• Update contract managers with relevant client or site information
• Inform administrator of any site or plant changes / site plant asset management
• Collecting parts from supplier or head office where applicable
• Provide weekly timesheet to office on a Monday
