Job summary

Artic Building Services Ltd is seeking an AC Engineer to cover Kings College London across three campuses. Working Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, the role is permanent with immediate start.

The ideal candidate has doors-to-appliance HVAC expertise, relevant AC/refrigeration qualifications, and a proactive, flexible approach to on-site problem solving and client liaison.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience in building services required.
• Apprenticeship and relevant AC/refrigeration qualifications with up-to-date Safe Handling (2079).
• Experience in HVAC/building services environments with client-facing duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and reactive tasks on client site plant.
• Complete PDA tasks including Risk Assessments.
• Provide reports on further works as required.

Job Description:

Job Role: AC Engineer

Location: Kings College London – working across x3 campuses

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Start Date: Immediately

Duration: Permanent

Skills Required:

• Completed applicable apprenticeship and possess relevant AC and Refrigeration industry qualifications. Including up to date Safe Handling (2079)
• Comprehensive working experience from an HVAC and Building Services environment
• A continuous history of employment within the HVAC and Building Services industry
• Proven technical knowledge of a wide spectrum of Air Conditioning systems and plant including that of: VRF, VRVS, AHU’s, Coldroom’s and Specialist Refrigeration
• Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage their own time, works and paperwork
• Capable of building long term relationships with clients both of existing and prospective
• Positive attitude “can do will do”.
• Flexible in approach to hours and solving problems on site
• Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works / sales
• Provide technical support to administration staff as required.

Job Duties:

• Carry out maintenance and reactive tasks to plant on client site
• Complete all relevant job tasks on PDA including Risk Assessments
• Provide Further works reports where required
• Liaise with the client concerning work completed and any further works required
• Update contract managers with relevant client or site information
• Inform administrator of any site or plant changes / site plant asset management
• Collecting parts from supplier or head office where applicable
• Provide weekly timesheet to office on a Monday
