Job summary

Rentokil Initial is seeking a Joiner Technician to join the Milton Keynes team, covering the East Coast. You will perform first and second fix joinery on domestic and commercial jobs and manage your own schedule.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years.
• Joinery qualification such as carpentry and joinery NVQ Level 2 preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out first and second fix joinery, focusing on replacing decayed joists and flooring, renewing skirting boards and other general timber repairs.
• Implementing preservation works on site, including stripping and replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows.
• Supporting with damp proofing and removal of wall coatings including plaster, woodworm treatments, wall tie installation and cavity drain membrane installation.
• Carrying out timber treatments such as woodworm, sprays and fungal decay work.
• Offering advice to customers and providing a high level of service.
• Adhering to risk assessments and health & safety measures on-site.
• Ensuring sites are left clean and tidy.
• Completing other tasks within the branch as required.
