Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Joiner / Carpenter to work in Liverpool. They will support the manufacture of high-quality modular and portable accommodation units, working with wood, metal and plastics to assemble and fit out modular buildings while following production schedules and technical drawings.

PPE will be provided and there is a long-term path to permanence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Joiner/Carpenter or in modular manufacturing or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacture of modular and portable accommodation units.
• Assemble and fit out modular buildings using wood, metal and plastics.
• Follow production schedules and drawings; carry out trimming and finishing.
• Ensure quality inspections and safe operation of tools.

Recruit4staff are representing a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Joiner / Carpenter to work in Liverpool.

• Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
• Overtime paid at x1.5
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:15am - 3:45pm
• Duration: Temp to Perm

Job Role:

As a Joiner / Carpenter, you will support the manufacture of high-quality modular and portable accommodation units. The role involves working with wood, metal and plastics to assemble and fit out modular buildings while following production schedules and technical drawings. They will prepare materials and components, carry out trimming and finishing work, install fixtures and fittings, fitting door frames & stud walls, handing doors, assisting other trades, operate hand and power tools safely, complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets company standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Joiner / Carpenteror within modular manufacturing, construction, building services or a similar environment.
• Knowledge of carpentry, joinery and general interior fitting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Joinery/carpentry or a related construction trade.
• Experienced with plumbing works & electrical fitting work
