Job summary

Joiner role in Warrington for a global manufacturing company. Permanent, full-time position with long-term career prospects and training on specialist refractory processes.

We are looking for someone with practical joinery or carpentry experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in high-quality workmanship. Mon-Fri, 39 hours, £13.50 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience in joinery, carpentry, or timber manufacturing.
  • Able to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments desirable.
  • Physically capable and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and manufacture wooden moulds for block production.
  • Strip down, clean, repair and maintain moulds after casting.
  • Manufacture and maintain timber formwork using joinery skills.
  • Assist with casting of precast refractory blocks.
  • Safely handle and move materials around the depot.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Support other production and yard duties as required by supervisors.

Joiner | Warrington | £13.50 per hour

A global manufacturing company is seeking a reliable and hard‑working Joiner to join its Warrington-based refractory team on a full‑time, permanent basis. Operating on specialist projects across the UK and internationally, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long‑term career within a growing organisation. We are looking for someone with practical joinery or carpentry experience who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in producing high‑quality workmanship.

The Role

As a Joiner, you will play a key role in supporting the production and manufacturing process within a busy industrial yard environment. This hands‑on role involves building and maintaining wooden moulds, casting refractory concrete blocks, material handling, and carrying out general yard duties. Working closely with the wider production team, you will ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and manufacture wooden moulds for block production.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous joinery, carpentry, or timber manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Previous experience within construction, manufacturing, production, or industrial environments is desirable.
  • Good practical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding role.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious.
  • Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
