Job summary

Recruit4staff LTD is representing a leading manufacturing company in Liverpool seeking a Joiner/Carpenter. The role involves supporting the production of modular and portable accommodation units, using wood, metal and plastics to assemble, trim, and fit out structures.

You will read drawings, prepare materials, install fixtures, and work under production schedules to meet high quality standards. Working hours are Mon–Fri, 7:15am–3:45pm, with overtime paid at x1.5.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Joiner / Carpenter or within modular manufacturing, construction, building services or a similar environment.
• Knowledge of carpentry, joinery and general interior fitting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacture of high-quality modular and portable accommodation units.
• Work with wood, metal and plastics to assemble and fit out modular buildings.
• Prepare materials and components, carry out trimming and finishing work.
• Install fixtures and fittings, fitting door frames & stud walls, handing doors.
• Assist other trades and operate hand and power tools safely.
• Complete quality inspections and ensure work meets company standards.

• Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
• Overtime paid at x1.5
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:15am - 3:45pm
• Duration: Temp to Perm

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Joiner / Carpenteror within modular manufacturing, construction, building services or a similar environment.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Joinery/carpentry or a related construction trade.
• Forklift licence.
• Experienced with plumbing works & electrical fitting work
