Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Joiner to perform site-based repairs across Workington, Whitehaven, Egremont, Maryport, Wigton and surrounding areas. Monday–Friday, 39 hours with on-call out of hours.

You will join the Planned Works and Responsive Repairs team to deliver high-quality repairs and replacements in social housing tenanted properties. NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery (or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance) and a full UK driving licence are required; DBS check and relevant safety training

Qualifications

• Joinery background with experience in replacing and repairing various joinery items.
• Basic plumbing, tiling, plastering skills and general maintenance.
• Social Housing experience is essential for tenanted properties.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance; PASMA/IPAF advantageous.
• DBS check and relevant safety training expected; full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Replacement and occasional repairs of UPVC doors, windows, kitchen and bathrooms.
• General maintenance to ensure functionality in tenanted properties.
• Work from job tickets or handheld device in a live shared system.
• Deliver an outstanding service to customers in their homes.
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies and standards.

Standard Hours

Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Joiner to join Novus Property Solutions, Planned works and Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Joinery background, prepared to take on multi trade duties. The works include the replacement and occasional repairs of various upvc doors, windows, kitchen, bathrooms and general maintenance to ensure functionality.


• Basic Plumbing, replacement of sanitaryware, toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps with occasional repairs


• Tiling & patch plastering including making good


• Painting and decorating as and when required


• Social Housing experience is essential as you will be working in tenanted properties


• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.


• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively


• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes


• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards


• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous


• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.


• Full UK driving license is required.


• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
