Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Job Coach in the North West on a temporary basis. You will work with learners one-to-one and in small groups, helping them gain confidence, understand employer expectations, and coordinate with employers to ensure successful placements.

You will guide learners to develop practical and personal skills for employment, set achievable goals, and monitor progress to support their workplace readiness and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting, coaching or mentoring young people or adults.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with learners and employers.
• A patient, encouraging approach and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
• Experience of supporting learners with additional needs.
• Experience of working in a further education or training setting.

Are you from a support, coaching or mentoring background and keen to help learners build the skills they need for work and independence?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in the North West as a Job Coach, working alongside learners to prepare them for the workplace and support them once they're there.

You'll work with learners one to one and in small groups, building their confidence, helping them understand what employers expect and making sure the support around them is right. You'll also keep in regular contact with employers so placements run smoothly for everyone involved.

Your responsibilities will include:
