Starling is hiring for a Java-focused engineer to join the Getting Paid & Open Banking team in the UK. You will develop payments capabilities and Open Banking integrations, writing clear, maintainable code and contributing to scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of Java development experience.
• Experience with AWS and PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
• Strong emphasis on clean code, scalable systems and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capabilities in the Getting Paid & Open Banking team.
• Build payments integration and Open Banking features for SMEs and merchants.
• Collaborate across engineering and product to deliver robust solutions.
