Starling Bank is actively expanding its Finance Engineering team in London and beyond, seeking engineers with 3–4 years of Java experience to build and support core financial systems such as ledgers and integration points.

You will contribute to a cloud-native stack (AWS/GCP), work on distributed services, and help deliver robust, scalable solutions in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Java development experience
• Experience in fintech or financial services preferred
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and APIs

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain financial system components in Java
• Collaborate with Treasury and accounting teams to ensure accurate transaction processing
