Job summary

Starling Bank is seeking engineers with 3–4 years of Java experience to join the Getting Paid & Open Banking team. You will develop and maintain capabilities that enable businesses to collect payments seamlessly and integrate their accounts with third‑party providers.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of Java experience in a software engineering role.
• Strong understanding of scalable, robust backend systems.
• Experience with AWS and Postgres is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering clean, maintainable code and automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capabilities for Getting Paid & Open Banking to help businesses collect payments.
• Integrate accounts with third‑party providers and maintain APIs.
• Contribute to a culture of clean coding, testing and continuous deployment.
