Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a Software Developer in the Portsmouth area on a contract basis with hybrid work. The role involves developing features for new product development within an agile team and contributing to sprint planning and task estimation.

Key technologies include Java Core 8, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and a microservices architecture. Prior experience with CI/CD and Jira is desirable.

Qualifications

• Java Core (version 8) experience with Spring ecosystem.
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework experience.
• Hibernate knowledge.
• REST development over HTTPS.
• Microservice architecture experience.
• Web services using RESTful APIs.
• Distributed systems experience.
• Knowledge of software design patterns.
• Agile development processes.
• CI/CD delivery techniques.
• Source control with Git.
• Jira for issue tracking.
• UML/SysML using Enterprise Architect or similar.

Responsibilities
