Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a Software Developer in the Portsmouth area on a contract basis with hybrid work. The role involves developing features for new product development within an agile team and contributing to sprint planning and task estimation.

Key technologies include Java Core 8, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and a microservices architecture. Prior experience with CI/CD and Jira is desirable.

Software Developer Certain Advantage is hiring for a Software Developer based in the Portsmouth area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based. The Company Worked with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.

Responsibilities

• Development of code within an agile environment (scrum).
• Working with the team to design, implement and test features for new product development.
• Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.

Qualifications

• Java Core (version 8)

• Good knowledge of developing in Spring with Hibernate
• Good Knowledge of developing REST within HTTPS
• Developing within a microservice architecture
• Web Services using RESTful APIs
• Distributed systems
