Job summary

Mastek is seeking an experienced Java backend specialist in Reading to design and deliver robust API-driven microservices. You will lead development efforts, mentor teammates, and ensure high-quality software across the lifecycle.

You will work in a hybrid setup with 2 days on-site in Reading, participate in architecture discussions, and drive best practices in tests, CI/CD, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive server-side, hands-on Java 8+ development with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Microservice architecture and REST web services.
• Experience with unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Wiremock).
• CI/CD using Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes.
• Frontend tech familiarity: HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Mustache templates.
• Led Java teams delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of components.
