Job summary

Chiltern Way Academy Trust is seeking an IT Technician based at the Wendover site with responsibilities across eleven school sites in Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Wokingham. A valid driving licence and access to a car are required as travel is a key part of the role.

You will assist with ICT provision for staff and pupils, maintain computers, manage parts stock, update asset records, assist with software maintenance, and support network access and account creation.

• Experience providing ICT support in classroom environments.
• Familiarity with maintaining ICT equipment and software installations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the provision of ICT support for staff and pupils in classrooms.
• Assisting with maintenance and fault-fixing of school computers and organizing repairs as needed.
• Assisting with maintaining stock of parts for computer repairs.
• Assisting with asset management for ICT equipment.
• Assisting with software integrity, virus removal, and software reinstalls when required.
• Assisting with maintaining classroom resources per school policy.
• Setting up new accounts, managing passwords, and supporting network access for pupils and staff.
• Keeping up to date with ICT developments and liaising with ICT Technician/IT Operations Manager on future plans.

We're recruiting for an IT Technician based at our Wendover site but the role will involve travelling across all eleven school sites in Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Wokingham so applicants must have a valid driving licence and access to a car. Job Role:

• Assisting with the provision of technical support for staff using ICT in the classroom
• Assisting with the maintenance and fault fixing of all computers around the school and organise where necessary if repairs are required
• Assisting with maintaining a stock of parts needed for general computer repairs
• Assisting with maintaining the asset system for any ICT equipment.
• Assisting with maintaining the integrity of software, virus removal, and software reinstallation when required.
• Assisting with maintaining classroom resources according to the school's policy.
• Assisting with maintaining the continued operation of the School networks, setting up new accounts, maintain password integrity, and assist pupils and staff to access network resources .
• Keep up to date with ICT developments and liaise with the ICT Technician and IT Operations Manager over future developments.
