Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an IT Technician to support staff, students and visitors across Greater London and Essex, delivering 1st and 2nd line help for PCs, laptops and AV equipment.

The role involves working across multiple school sites with a proactive Trust IT team, requiring a full UK driving licence and a flexible, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Office 365.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and basic networking.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience within an educational environment would be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
  • Set up and support AV equipment, projectors and video conferencing systems.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts and password resets.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and physical connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset, software and equipment records.
  • Support schools with day-to-day IT issues and technical queries.
  • Follow health, safety and IT security procedures.

IT Technician – Greater London & Essex

We are seeking a proactive and motivated IT Technician to join a central Trust IT team supporting multiple schools across Greater London and Essex. You will provide technical support to staff, students and visitors, working across different school sites and supporting a wide range of IT systems and equipment.

Location: Greater London & Essex
Sector: Education / IT Support
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices and software
