IT Technician required. Our client is a UK leading organisation specialising in IT strategies and solutions to power growth. Operating across the South East & beyond, they deliver infrastructure, security, software, and support for businesses, schools, and other organisations.

They are now seeking an outstanding IT Technician to join the team at Sydenham School. You will be based fully in the school, with support from the IT team in Marden. Occasionally, training at their Marden office may be required. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, values excellent customer service, has great communication skills, and a passion for technology. You should have experience providing first-class IT support to resolve client issues.

Position Overview

• Serve as the first point of contact for all ICT needs at the school, resolving support requests
• Collaborate with the school development team to ensure optimal service delivery
• Supervise and support an IT apprentice, ensuring they receive adequate training
• Manage technical aspects of installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Perform advanced diagnosis of hardware, software, and peripherals
• Ensure help desk tickets are logged, tracked, and resolved promptly
• Monitor and manage infrastructure systems, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
• Oversee firewall filtering, monitoring, and anti-virus systems

Position Requirements

• Strong experience with IT and technical issues
• A Level qualification in ICT
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Willingness to work with students and train small groups of staff
• Hyper-V and VMWare certifications are desirable

Position Remuneration

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
• 25 days holiday, including bank holidays
