Job summary

Salford City College is seeking a proactive IT Technician to be the first point of contact for technical support of IT services at Salford City College. This role is based at the Eccles Centre and may require covering other centres as needed.

The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service to students and staff, with a focus on preparing IT facilities and services. A good knowledge of PCs, tablets, Windows, ITIL experience and a ICT-related qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good knowledge of PCs, tablets and Microsoft Windows.
• Experience supporting IT services in an ITIL environment.
• BTEC Higher level or equivalent in an IT-related subject.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-line technical support for IT services to students, staff and delegates.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.
• Prepare and maintain IT facilities and services as required.

About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a proactive and responsive IT Technician to be a first point of contact for technical support of IT services at Salford City College.

This position will be based at our Eccles Centre, but all Technicians can be asked cover other Centre’s within the College as required.

In this exciting role you will be expected to deliver excellent customer service to students, staff and delegates, including the preparation of IT facilities and services.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of PCs, tablets and Microsoft Windows, experience of supporting delivery, preferably in an ITIL environment, of IT services and a BTEC Higher level (or equivalent) in an IT related subject.
