Job summary

Palletforce in Burton upon Trent is seeking an IT – Technical Analyst to support users, resolve technical issues, and escalate complex problems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

Role requires 1st/2nd line service desk experience, Windows Server and desktop familiarity, and knowledge of Office 365 admin and Active Directory. This is a full-time, permanent night shift role with salary up to £28,323.48 plus 10% uplift after probation.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English Level 4 (Grade C) or above, and an IT qualification is desirable.
• 1st and 2nd line service desk, Windows Server and desktop experience; knowledge of Office 365 admin and Active Directory preferred.
• Strong communication, ability to work with diverse teams and manage inquiries effectively.
• Willingness to develop within a growing company and take initiative.

In this role you will be responsible for responding to user queries, identifying, and troubleshooting technical issues, escalating complex issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and provide excellent guidance and support.

Salary: Up to £28,323.48 per annum. Plus 10% salary uplift for out-of-hours work, after successfully completing your probation period.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage any incoming IT requests and identifying the appropriate priority and action to be undertaken.
• Work with call-logging and ticketing software
• Take ownership of cases and bring resolution to customer’s issues.
• Manage user creation and account administration.
• Provide hardware and software Support Managing the in-house application support Collaborate closely with the software development team and the operations teams.
• Develop strong working relationships with other departments to assist with the delivery of our service.
• Carry out application and capacity system checks, aiming to identify and resolve issues before they impact customers.
• Have the ability to troubleshoot and approach problem solving in a logical manner.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

• Qualifications. You will have your GCSE Maths and English Level 4 (Grade C) and above and a relevant IT qualification – both desirable but not essential.
• Experience. You will have 1st and 2nd line service desk, windows server and desktop experience, prior knowledge in a technical support role would be an advantage and also have a good understanding of Office 365 administration and active directory.
• Communication. Show us that you have excellent communication skills, spoken and written, be able to build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers and have the ability to engage and communicate with audiences made up of a diverse background across all areas of EV Cargo.
