Job summary

The Hyde Group is recruiting a Category Manager to lead IT/Tech procurement, overseeing the full lifecycle from market engagement to contract negotiations. The role emphasizes value for money, quality, and compliance with public sector rules.

You will develop procurement plans, manage tendering processes, and drive supplier performance while fostering social value and sustainability within Hyde’s collaborative team. A hybrid work model is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management or purchasing, ideally IT/Tech.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset with focus on value for money, service improvement and social value.
• Ability to analyse market trends, supplier performance and spend data to inform procurement decisions.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations or experience in public sector procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage procurement plans for IT/Tech products and services, identifying opportunities for savings and added value.
• Lead compliant tendering and procurement processes, including tender documents, competitive bidding and supplier selection support.
• Analyse spend, supplier performance and procurement practices to identify efficiencies and improve contract outcomes.
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to meet quality, service and delivery standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and partners, embedding social value and responsible procurement.
