Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Category Manager - Technology Procurement on a 12-month fixed-term contract hybrid role in Belfast. You will own technology procurement categories, develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead commercial negotiations to drive value and cost savings.

The role requires strong experience in technology IT procurement, complex supplier management, and a track record of delivering negotiations and savings within a large organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technology/IT procurement or category management.
• Ability to manage complex supplier relationships and contracts.
• Track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical ability.
• Experience developing and implementing category strategies.
• Ability to operate in large, complex or global organisations.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies.
• Leading supplier selection, tendering and commercial negotiations.
• Managing contract negotiations, renewals and supplier performance.
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved value.
• Building relationships with internal stakeholders across Technology and wider business.
• Ensuring procurement activity complies with governance, risk and compliance requirements.
• Supporting transformation and continuous improvement in procurement.
