Job summary

The Hyde Group is seeking an Assistant Category Manager for our London Bridge team. The role involves supporting procurement strategies to secure value for money and ensure compliance with public procurement requirements, while embedding social value and sustainability across purchasing activity.

You will manage tender processes, analyze market and spend data, and build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver end-to-end category plans. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tendering, procurement and contract management with public procurement regulations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive mindset focused on social value, sustainability and ethical procurement.
• Ability to interpret market and spend data to support evidence-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of category strategies through market research, spend analysis and category planning.
• Manage end-to-end procurement exercises, including tender preparation, market engagement, evaluation and contract award.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, providing procurement and contract management advice.
• Monitor supplier performance, savings, contract compliance and risk, escalating issues as needed.
• Embed social value, sustainability and ethical sourcing into procurement activity and reporting.
