Job summary

The Economist Group is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead technology sourcing and vendor management across the organisation. You will build and execute category strategies, negotiate high-value contracts and shape commercial decisions with senior stakeholders.

Hybrid role with flexibility and a focus on delivering value, risk management and cross-functional collaboration across Technology, Finance and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Senior procurement professional with strong technology sourcing expertise.
• Experience leading sourcing activities on a global scale.
• Excellent commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
• Significant supplier and contract management experience.
• Capable of managing full procurement lifecycle and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology sourcing and category strategies with internal stakeholders.
• Manage high-value sourcing activities to secure competitive terms.
• Understand technology portfolio, roadmap, and vendor landscape to anticipate requirements.
• Build relationships with Technology and other stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Oversee vendor relationships post-contract to maximize value and performance.
• Identify and deliver sustainable commercial savings while balancing quality and risk.
• Provide procurement guidance for lower-value purchases and improve cross-functional processes.
