Job summary

Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE) is seeking an IT Support & Network Analyst to join our small IT team in Northwich. You will deliver hands-on IT support across UK sites, coordinate network and infrastructure tasks, and partner with remote teams to ensure a secure and reliable technology environment.

The role requires experience across end-user computing, networking, and cyber security initiatives, with travel to sites and a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an IT Support, Infrastructure Support, or Network Analyst role.
• Experience supporting a multi-site organisation.
• Experience working with a centralised or remote infrastructure/network team.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft and VMware technologies and end-user computing.
• Experience supporting networking infrastructure and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.

At Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE), we are part of the larger Tata Chemicals Group network, transforming and modernising to support a multi-site manufacturing business. We are looking for a highly customer-focused IT Support & Network Analyst to become a key member of our small IT team.

If you are looking for a hands-on role and are someone who enjoys solving problems and building relationships with users then this is the role for you. You will work closely with employees at all levels of the organisation, many of whom are not IT specialists, and will act as a trusted partner in delivering excellent IT support and services.

You will also work closely with our remote Infrastructure and Network teams within our parent company, helping to coordinate support, implement improvements, and ensure a reliable and secure technology environment across all TCE locations.

Key Responsibilities

End User Support

• Deliver first-class IT support to users across multiple UK sites.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
• Provide face-to-face, telephone, and remote support to employees at all levels.
• Explain technical issues in a clear and non-technical manner.
• Ensure excellent customer service and positive user experiences.

Infrastructure & Network Support

• Support local network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, connectivity, and associated hardware.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with the Group Infrastructure and Network teams to resolve incidents and implement changes.
• Support cyber security initiatives, patching activities, and technical compliance requirements.

Multi-Site IT Operations

• Provide IT support and coordination across multiple manufacturing and office locations.
• Travel to sites as required to support users and deliver projects.
• Maintain consistency of IT standards, equipment, and support processes across locations.

Project & Continuous Improvement

• Support implementation of new technologies and business systems.
• Participate in infrastructure, cyber security, networking, and digital transformation projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve service levels and user satisfaction.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience activities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in an IT Support, Infrastructure Support, or Network Analyst role.
• Experience supporting a multi-site organisation.
• Experience working with a centralised or remote infrastructure/network team.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft and VMware technologies and end-user computing.
• Experience supporting networking infrastructure and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
