Job summary
ITM Power is seeking an Apprentice IT Support Engineer to join the IT team in Sheffield, delivering day-to-day IT support across manufacturing and office locations in Europe. You will learn to diagnose issues, support business systems and devices, and provide excellent customer service while completing an Level 3 apprenticeship.
You will gain hands-on experience with Active Directory, device imaging, network connectivity, and MSP collaboration, under supervision from experienced professionals.
Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or higher.
- Basic understanding of computer systems and software.
- Experience using Windows OS in school/college/work.
- Teamwork and customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for IT support queries via the Service Desk.
- Assist users with common IT issues under supervision (Windows 11, MS 365, printers, mobile devices).
- Log incidents accurately and update progress for users.
- Support asset creation and user administration tasks.
- Learn to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues with guidance.
- Support senior team members on more complex problems.
