Our client, based in Reading, Berkshire, is looking for a motivated and passionate ICT Technician with good experience supporting Schools by maintaining IT Hardware and Services across multiple School Sites. The role involves supporting the school in enhancing their ICT provisions.

This position is full-time and is subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.

Duties

1. Supporting communication between your schools and the client, ensuring they are informed about available services and managing customer accounts.
2. Joining the onsite tech team and reporting to the Trust IT Manager, responsible for maintaining IT hardware and services across school sites and assisting in improving ICT standards to support effective teaching and learning.
3. Handling technical duties related to computer networks and desktop services, including existing installations and upgrades of desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns, and hardware.
4. Repairing or installing computers with standard applications and networking software, diagnosing and resolving operational issues.
5. Managing technical issues impacting school operations by providing effective solutions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience as an ICT Technician within the education sector.
• Skilled in maintaining school computer equipment, installing software, and providing user support.
• Experience with existing installations and upgrades of desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns, and hardware.
• High proficiency in common user applications, especially Microsoft Office.
• Passionate about IT with a strong technical background.
• Excellent team player with strong organizational and communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Proactive in identifying ways to improve team services.

Salary range: £24,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
