Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide first-line technical assistance in a hybrid role based in Ramsgate, Kent. After probation, four days in the Ramsgate office and one day from home.

The role focuses on customer service as well as resolving technical issues, with responsibilities ranging from ticket handling to documenting work and ensuring security standards are met. Training, certifications, and growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 computing qualification or equivalent IT training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues while delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Document all work accurately within the service management system.
• Monitor and manage ticket queues against service level agreements.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior technical staff.
• Escalate issues where appropriate and support successful resolution.
• Develop expertise in specific technologies and products used within the business.
• Assist with workload management and service request allocation as experience grows.
• Maintain compliance with quality and information security standards.

IT Support Engineer

Location: Ramsgate, Kent (Hybrid after probation)

Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus + Profit Share

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Our Client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join their growing technical support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about technology who wants to build a long-term career in IT within a supportive and development-focused environment.

Whilst technical skills are important, customer service is at the heart of this role. You will be responsible for handling incoming support requests, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and helping clients maintain secure and efficient technology systems.

Following successful completion of probation, the role operates on a hybrid basis, with four days in the Ramsgate office and one day working from home.

Key Responsibilities
