A leading global investment management firm is seeking a proactive IT Support Engineer to join their London team. The role involves providing first-level support, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to service improvement in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude, with experience in Microsoft environments.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our IT team in London and be part of our global service desk team. The successful candidate will provide 1st level support primarily for our London office, while also supporting other locations in Western Europe. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Job Responsibilities
Provide first level support to end-users in London and other Western European locations (France, Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland);
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues;
Escalate complex issues to 2nd and 3rd level support teams as necessary, ensuring excellent customer service and proactively contributing to continuous service improvement;
Document support activities and resolutions in IT Service Management tools;
Manage incidents effectively by accurately categorizing and prioritizing incidents and service requests before dispatching them to the appropriate team;
Install, allocate, and deliver endpoint devices such as laptops, desktops, and phones;
Participate in global service desk meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company IT policies and procedures.
Requirements
Proven service and ICT support expertise, preferably in a global organization;
Broad technical background with experience in Microsoft Windows and M365 environments;
Commitment to service improvement with a self-initiative, customer focused attitude;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Hands-on mentality and willingness to share knowledge;
Experience with IT service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and basic understanding of ITIL principles.
