Job summary

Arvato is seeking an IT Support Engineer for our Corby site. You will join the IT team to maintain infrastructure and provide first-class support across the business.

You will act as the initial contact for IT issues, troubleshoot hardware and software, and manage AD/Group Policy, Intune, Defender, and 365 environments. A hands-on approach and collaboration with suppliers are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support roles such as IT Support Engineer, Desktop Support, or Systems Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender, and Modern Workplace environments.
• Good networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for IT support via the ITSM system.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and user account issues.
• Building and deploying laptops and desktops using Modern Workplace technologies.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining IT hardware, software and telecommunications equipment.
• Managing Active Directory user accounts, permissions and Group Policy.
• Supporting Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Performing server maintenance, backups and ensuring system security.
• Maintaining IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Working closely with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Identifying opportunities to improve IT processes and the end-user experience.

Salary: up to £31,745.00 per annum

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender and Modern Workplace technologies.
• Good understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
• Experience supporting PCs, servers, printers and peripheral devices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
