Job summary

Viqu Limited is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a 12-month contract in Cambridge to provide hands-on technical support across Windows, M365 and endpoint management. The role requires strong troubleshooting, customer service and collaboration with IT teams.

The successful candidate will manage endpoints with Intune and SCCM/MECM, handle patching and lifecycle management, and work closely with users, vendors and colleagues to resolve issues onsite in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and device management.
• Hands-on experience with Intune and SCCM/MECM for endpoint management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Windows, hardware, software and peripherals.
• Manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems and software applications.
• Oversee patching, updates and device lifecycle management.
• Assist with hardware refreshes and new deployments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues with IT networks and teams.
• Manage incidents and service requests per SLAs.
• Support asset management and CMDB accuracy.
• Contribute to IT projects and stakeholder communications.

IT Support Engineer – 12-month contract - Cambridge

My Customer is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Endpoint Management. The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused and confident troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Skills required from the IT Support Engineer:

• Strong Windows 10/11 support experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM.
• Strong endpoint management and software deployment experience.
• Hardware, desktop and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Active Directory / Group Policy experience.
• Experience working within an ITIL/service desk environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent prioritisation and time-management skills.
• Lab IT skills would be benefical

Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows, hardware, software and peripherals.
• Support and manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems and software applications.
• Manage patching, software updates and device lifecycle management.
• Support hardware refreshes, new device deployments and equipment moves/adds/changes.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and work with Networking, Security and other IT teams where required.
• Manage incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs.
• Assist with asset management, inventory and CMDB accuracy.
• Support wider IT projects and technology initiatives.
• Work closely with users, IT teams, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

The IT Support Engineer is required to be onsite, 5 days a week in Cambridge.
