Job summary

Pioneering People is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our MSP team serving Aldershot, Farnborough and surrounding areas in Hampshire. You will support a diverse client base, troubleshoot and improve IT infrastructures, and work on projects across multiple environments.

The role requires a calm problem solver with strong communication and organisational skills, capable of prioritising tasks and delivering high-quality IT support with a mix of office, home and client-site work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure support.
• Experience supporting 25–500 users preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies.

Responsibilities

IT Support Engineer | Aldershot / Farnborough & Surrounding Region | £32,000–£35,000 DOE

The Role

As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll work across a variety of client environments, providing reliable technical support while helping to improve their IT infrastructure.

You’ll need to be a calm, logical problem solver who enjoys getting stuck into challenges, finding practical solutions and delivering a high‑quality service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and managing Windows‑based IT infrastructures
• Providing technical support across PCs, networks, switches and servers
• Supporting Microsoft 365 and modern workplace services
• Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions
• Delivering infrastructure changes and projects
• Managing projects, risks and stakeholder expectations
• Working directly with clients and building trusted relationships
• Applying best‑practice solutions across different IT environments
• Working independently while knowing when to draw on the wider team

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience managing, operating and changing IT infrastructures, ideally within organisations supporting around 25–500 users.

You’ll also need:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A logical and structured approach to problem solving
• Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
• The ability to prioritise and work under your own initiative
• Experience managing projects and communicating with stakeholders
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies
• Proven experience supporting Windows‑based networks
• A full UK driving licence

Your Technical Experience

• Microsoft Windows Server and Workstations
• Microsoft 365
• LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi and broadband networking
• Backup platforms
• Working within an IT support company or MSP environment
• Relevant qualifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft/vendor certifications or a successful IT apprenticeship would also be welcomed.
