Job summary

Cardo Group is a social housing property maintenance company with a Cardiff HQ. We are recruiting an IT Support Assistant to handle first line support requests, diagnose faults, and resolve issues across phone, in person, or remote access.

Reporting to the Head of IT Support & Security, you will support new application roll-outs, user provisioning, and cybersecurity best practices while ensuring policy compliance and efficient IT operations. Travel may be required across Cardo locations.

Qualifications

• Two years of IT experience.
• Knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools.
• Hands-on using Microsoft’s suite of cloud-based products; SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra, O365 etc.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework.

Responsibilities

• Keep systems and applications running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them.
• Support the roll-out of new applications.
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
• Respond within agreed timescales to support requests.
• Work continuously on a task until completion.
• Prioritise and manage many open tickets at one time.
• Rapidly establish a good working relationship with internal teams, manage IT service provider, application suppliers, clients, and other suppliers.
• Monitoring and updating IT Asset lists and portals.
• Promoting cybersecurity best practices among end-users to mitigate security risks and threats.
• Ensuring compliance with IT security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Test and evaluate new technology.
