Job summary

Unum UK is offering an entry-level Operations Support Apprenticeship within the Modern Workplace team. You will learn to support colleagues with everyday IT needs and develop practical technical skills, customer service confidence and understanding of workplace IT services.

The role requires curiosity, reliability and a willingness to learn, with training through West Thames College and hands-on guidance from experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Maths & English at Level2; solid foundation for learning and communication.
• Currently studying or about to complete a Level3 IT or related qualification.
• Willing to start full-time in December 2026 and commit to a 24-month apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Review incidents and service requests with guidance, logging actions taken.
• Provide friendly first-line support in person or remotely, escalating complex issues.
• Assist with devices setup, asset records and basic Microsoft 365 tasks.
• Support meeting room technology and prepare basic presentation equipment.
• Maintain knowledge articles and clear ticket updates for colleagues.
