Job summary

Kibble Education and Care Centre is seeking a modern IT apprentice to join its IT team. You will help set up, configure and maintain computers and devices, install software, and assist colleagues with Office and Teams. Training is built in and previous experience is desirable but not required.

PVG scheme membership is required before starting, and there is a focus on confidentiality, data protection and IT security. A supportive team environment offers progression and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in IT and a wish to build a career in the industry.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Help set up, configure and maintain computers, laptops and other IT equipment
• Install software, carry out routine checks and keep equipment records up to date
• Investigate and resolve everyday hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Record and update support tickets, following troubleshooting procedures
• Refer more complex issues to experienced colleagues
• Respond to staff enquiries in person, by email and by phone
• Support colleagues with Microsoft Office, Teams and other workplace systems
• Follow team guidance on confidentiality, data protection and IT security
