Job summary

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IT Support Analyst / Service Desk Engineer with a strong macOS focus. You will be the first point of contact for IT support, handling macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Meraki wireless, VPNs, cloud technologies and AV systems.

This contract-to-permanent role is based in the UK, with occasional travel to other sites and a valid UK driving licence. You will join a user-focused IT team reporting to the Head of IT.

Qualifications

• Must be technically strong with ability to own issues through to resolution.
• Experience supporting macOS and iOS in a service desk context.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of user problems.
• Able to explain technical matters clearly to users and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with service desk tools and networking concepts (LAN/WAN).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for IT support.
• Provide high-quality assistance across macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Meraki wireless, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, cloud technologies, and AV systems.
• Support VIP incidents, requests, and changes.
• Work closely with users in a customer-focused and proactive manner.

Requirements:

• Technically strong and personable
• Main area of expertise in macOS
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously
• Ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution
• Ability to explain technical matters clearly to users
• macOS and iOS support experience
• Familiar with service desk tools
• Familiar with networking concepts such as LAN/WAN configuration
• Familiar with AV equipment, including Smart-TV
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments
• Clean UK driving licence required, as occasional travel to other sites will be necessary
