Job summary

Atos Group is building an IT apprentice program in Birmingham to deliver 1st Line IT Support for a public sector client. You will be the first point of contact for users, resolving issues quickly while studying for a nationally recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship.

No prior IT experience is required; we hire for potential and attitude, with training and mentorship provided. Onsite role with opportunities across AI, Cyber Security and Cloud Engineering after completion.

Qualifications

• No prior IT experience required; we hire for potential and attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Strong interest in IT and technology.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact: handle calls, emails, tickets and chats about IT issues.
• Log incidents accurately into the Service Management tool.
• Troubleshoot basic tech issues such as password resets, Office 365 queries and hardware faults.
• Escalate complex issues to 2nd/3rd line support as needed.
• Keep users updated on ticket status and ensure satisfaction.
• Dedicate 20% of time to apprenticeship studies, workshops and coursework.
