Job summary

Thomas Search is seeking a senior security lead for a large UK government assets portfolio. The role is based in Tidworth, Wiltshire, offering hybrid work with 2 days home‑working and 37.5 hours per week.

You will own and drive the security strategy, oversee incidents and disaster recovery, and coordinate with cyber and QA teams for audits and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong technical IT security experience (or a computing degree) and excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Lead organisation-wide IT security awareness and training.
• Own and drive the IT security strategy, roadmap, initiatives and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, cyber teams and the quality team for audits and compliance.
• Manage security incidents, breaches, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Ensure security controls across the supply chain meet standards.
• Monitor industry trends and strengthen cyber defence capabilities.

Responsibilities
